Warhammer 40,000 is a tabletop battle game in which you take command of the forces of the Imperium or its many deadly adversaries. This set allows you to stage battles between Space Marines and Orks, with both factions represented by detailed miniatures that you assemble and paint yourself.

The battles take place across a battlefield filled with immersive scenery, providing cover and objectives while adding atmosphere to your games. This box contains everything required to start playing Warhammer 40,000, including two complete Combat Patrol forces. Easy-to-follow guides introduce you to the rules as you play, making this set an ideal way to discover the hobby.

The Warhammer 40,000 Introductory Set contains an 88-page softcover Core Rules booklet. This compact 160 x 230mm guide includes everything needed to understand the game, including the basic rules, battle round sequence, battlefield rules, advanced rules, and a useful reference section.

An 88-page softcover Introductory Set booklet is also included. It provides guidance on getting started with Warhammer 40,000 and covers the basics of assembling, painting, and playing games with your miniatures.

Two double-sided Reference Sheets provide army rules, Stratagems, Enhancements, and datasheets for games played using the Combat Patrol format.

The box includes forty-six push-fit plastic miniatures representing two complete Combat Patrol forces. The two armies feature a combination of infantry, leaders, and support units, providing a solid foundation for expanding an existing collection or starting a new one. The miniatures can be assembled without glue.

The Space Marine force contains thirteen miniatures: one Captain with Relic Shield, one Librarian, five Intercessors, five Vanguard Veterans, and one Land Speeder.

Space Marines are genetically enhanced elite warriors equipped with some of the Imperium's finest armour, weapons, and equipment. They will stop at nothing to defend Humanity and its worlds.

The Captain with Relic Shield, Librarian, Vanguard Veterans Sergeant, and Land Speeder pilots all have alternative head options, allowing them to be assembled with either bare or helmeted heads. The Land Speeder can also replace its onslaught gatling cannon with a heavy flamer.

The Ork force contains thirty-three miniatures: one Warboss, one Weirdboy, twenty Ork Boyz, ten Gretchins, and one Warbiker.

Orks are aggressive xenos who live for the thrill of battle. Drawn to conflict wherever it can be found, they have returned to Armageddon in force with the intention of claiming the world once and for all.

Some of the Boyz and Gretchins feature interchangeable torsos, allowing for greater variety in their poses. All of the Boyz have interchangeable heads, while the Nobz leading them can replace their custom shootas with kombi-weapons or kombi-rokkits.

The set also contains fifteen push-fit plastic terrain pieces, allowing you to create a varied battlefield with objectives to fight over and areas of cover to protect your advancing forces. The terrain can be assembled without glue.

The scenery includes four large Manufactorum Ruins, four small Manufactorum Ruins, one Shock Barrier, one Capacitor Stack, two Rockcrete Barricades, one Generatorum Shrine, and two Galvanic Pylons.

Two foldable gaming boards are included, featuring printed building foundations. Each 1.5mm-thick cardboard board measures 762 x 559mm when unfolded, providing the foundations for your battlefield.

Two transparent 12-inch plastic measuring sticks with markings are supplied for measuring distances during your games.

The box also contains ten white six-sided dice with square edges and black markings for use in Warhammer 40,000 battles.

The complete kit contains 535 plastic components, along with two Citadel 105 x 70mm Oval Hex Hole Bases, two Citadel 50mm Round Hex Hole Bases, four Citadel 40mm Round Hex Hole Bases, twenty-eight Citadel 32mm Round Hex Hole Bases, and ten Citadel 25mm Round Hex Hole Bases.

The push-fit miniatures are supplied unpainted and require assembly before use.
